BOOK 08, CHAPTER 3, PAGE 16

Life is short, spring into action and live today’s beginning

Your living is determined not so much by what life brings to you as by the attitude you bring to life; not so much by what happens to you as by the way your mind looks at what happens.

John Homer Miller

Attitude. What an important topic it is, and how difficult it can be to keep it foremost in our minds. What kind of attitude are we giving to the world each day? What is our attitude telling other people about the way that we see life and living, and even them? How are people supposed to respond to our attitudes? Often, their responses tell us that they may not see the same attitude that we think we're sharing. What many people don't realize is that we can change our attitudes towards life. It takes some work, but it can be done.

The more we accept other people and their faults and quirks, the less judgmental we become. The more we decide to share the goodness that's within us, the less selfish we become, and the less likely we are to hoard or hang on to material things. The more we learn about other people's emotional or physical problems, the more understanding and compassionate we become

From my morning devotion on Saturday

GOOD MORNING !

I had a really nice time yesterday and of course we had lots of good food and good laughs too! The grand babes enjoy getting together and playing. They are all close in age and enjoy many of the same things

BesidesEaster we celebrated my birthday. My gift from my children was an IPOD. I’m not exactly sure how to use it, but I’ll learn. There are plenty of people around to teach me. I’ll be off to church as usual today.

The newlyweds will probably go with me as they spent the night here but will go to her folks this afternoon for a little birthday celebration with them. It is Palm Sunday today and we’ll all be sent home with some palms to hang in our houses. The ashes we received on Ash Wednesday come from last years burnt palms. And so the cycle continues on.

I’ll be praying as always for all of you and thanking the dear Lord for all the blessings too. I do hope your R &R day is a great one !

Thought For Today

Attitude is more important than the past, than education, than money, than circumstances, than what people do or say. It is more important than appearance, giftedness, or skill.

Charles Swindoll

Enjoy the little you have while the fool is hunting more.

Old Spanish proverb

May your day be filled with blessings

As new as Spring

As fragrant as flowers

As full as your heart can hold.

I just recently got an iPod - they take a little while for those of us over 7 years old to learn, but it comes to you! That party looks like it was full of family love :-)
