CHAPTER 9, PAGE 12

Memory builds a little pathway

That goes winding through my heart

It’s a lovely quiet gentle trail

From other things apart

I only meet when traveling there

The folks I like the best

For this road I call REMEMBERANCE

Is hidden from the rest

But I hope I’ll always find you

In my memory RENDEZVOUS

For I keep this secret place

To meet with folks like you.

Helen Steiner Rice

GOOD MORNING

Memories of good friends are like good books that we read over and over. People that have made a place in our hearts never leave us that’s for sure.  I was so blessed this past Saturday when I went to festival to be taken by DS#6 to a used book store. We made this little side trip after the festival and before dinner.

This store was a treasure trove of untold wealth. I bought loads of books the least of which was all the Helen Steiner Rice books they had on the shelf. You know from past sharings that I love her poetry and now I’ll be sharing loads more with you in the future.

THOUGHT FOR TODAY

When you do what you do

With a will and a SMILE

Everything that you do will

Seem twice as worth while

And when you walk down the street

Life will seem twice as SWEET

If you SMILE at the people

You happen to meet

For when you SMILE it is true

Folks will SMILE back at you

So DO what you DO

With a will and a SMILE

And WHATEVER you DO

WILL BE TWICE AS WORTHWHILE

Helen Steiner Rice

May your day be blessed with a few SMILES and lots of SUNSHINE to warm your heart !
