I'm home from the festival and unwinding after a long drive so I thought I may as well post some pics for you all to see. What a beautiful day it was !

Wow! This sounds like so much fun! We have something like that in South Seattle in Kent called the Canterbury Festival and people get dressed up and perform..only it's not quite as big! WE don't have the buildings. In Oregon in Ashland they have an Annual Shakespearean Festival which is very similar to your Ren Fest. I loved the link you gave and the little animated mini movie and music. I need to take pictures of my dulcimer and post them soon.....I'd love to see your friend's instrument.
