CHILLY MORNING !

ACORNS AND PUMPKINS

An old poem describes a woman walking through a meadow, meditating on nature. While strolling about, she came upon a field of golden pumpkins. In the corner of the field stood a majestic, huge oak tree.

She sat under the oak tree musing on the strange twists in nature which put tiny acorns on huge branches and huge pumpkins on tiny vines. She thought to herself, "God blundered with Creation! He should have put the small acorns on the tiny vines and the large pumpkins on the huge branches."

Nodding off, the woman stretched out under the oak tree for a nap. A few minutes after falling asleep she was awakened by a tiny acorn bouncing off her nose. Chuckling to herself, she rubbed her nose and thought, Maybe God was right after all...

GOOD MORNING!

Aren’t we a lot like that woman in the story, thinking we know better than God how things should be??? It’s taken me all of my 61 years to adapt to the fact that God is in control. There is a reason – His reason for why things are like they are.

Another tropical storm entering the Gulf. They say it will probably be hurricane Wilma. We don’t know why all these hurricanes keep rolling in , but God does. I’ll be praying for all those in peril and for those still trying to recover from the last one.

Recently I heard someone ask – What is faith? I think my faith is my belief that there is a loving Father in Heaven and that He loves us and cares for us all. He is truly my reason for being ! I know I’m a little wordy for so early in the morning, so I’ll close for now .

***BIG SMILE***

May you have a happy day full of Sunshine !
