CHAPTER 12, PAGE 15

What Shall I Give For Christmas

A listening ear to the friend with a heartache.

A thank you to the tired salesperson who serves you.

Laughter to brighten a less-fortunate's life.

A kiss and a hug for a handicapped child.

Time to read to the sightless.

An act of kindness to the shut-in.

A cheery greeting to one who is ill.

A smile to the elderly person who is struggling to walk.

A written message to a lonely one.

How simple our Christmas shopping can be this year -

And every year - when we give gifts of the heart

GOOD MORNING !

After searching all the places I could for my theme of GIFTS this month I’ve discovered that it is almost impossible to give a gift without caring for the person you give it to.

Some might feel they are obligated to give certain gifts, but in the long run, most are given with love. If you take the time to choose something you think someone else would like, you care in some fashion for that person.

Like wise, when we receive a gift, be it heavenly or worldly, we receive it with affection for the giver. How can we not appreciate the GIFTS of the heart?

Ohio is preparing for a major storm later today. Everyone will be going to stores and stocking up on groceries and making sure there snow blowers are in good operation as we are supposed to get 8-12 inches.

It will be pretty, but also hazardous. I’m so glad that it is the weekend and I won’t have to go out in it.

Take good care all !

THOUGHT FOR TODAY

THROUGHOUT THE SEASON,

GIVE FAMILY AND OTHERS

THE GIFT OF A SWEET DISPOSITION

May the season's simple joys

Warm your heart...

Fill your home...

Last a lifetime
