How Cold is it? 12 degrees this morning !

Christmas is a time for Love;

a time for Joy and Peace;

A time to trim the Christmas Tree

and a time to stuff the geese.

It's a time when we can come together,

however far or near;

To shed a little hope into a world of sorrow and fear.

Yet Christmas could be all year 'round,

 if only we would try

 To gently wipe an old man's brow

or soothe a baby's cry.

 If we could smile throughout the year

 as we do on Christmas Day;

Just think what happiness

we'd shed along life's weary way.

To give a gift of Hope

to one who otherwise has none;

To be a Friend

to somebody whom everyone else has shun.

To be Forgiving of our faults,

and of our sisters and our brothers;

To Live in Peace and Harmony

with ourselves and with each other.

Ah, don't you see that Christmas

is more than opening up the gifts;

It's more than singing Christmas Carols

and rolling in big snow drifts.

It's a feeling that can stay with you

throughout each day, all year;

And all it takes is a loving heart.....

and a sensitive little tear...

GOOD MORNING !

When I was doing my Christmas cards I watched several OLD Christmas movies, all of which had some kind of wonderful miracle happen in it. Grinches turned into happy joyful people, gifts given that made a difference, old friendships renewed. We’ve all heard and seen these and maybe that’s one reason for this season. People experiencing miracles.

A wonderful miracle did happen on Christmas day !

Remember the reason for the season

On the TO DO list for today

Add a string of Christmas lights to a large potted plant.

Fill your home with the scent of a pleasant potpourri. Place orange rind, cloves, cinnamon sticks and fresh ginger in a saucepan. Cover with water and bring to a boil. Let mixture simmer on low heat. Watch carefully so water does not boil away.

Arrange candles in front of a mirror to double the magical glow

More ideas for some inexpensive gifts. The little quote after the item is a suggestion for a gift card to go with the gift.

 Broom - You're "Dust" the finest neighbors we know! Merry Christmas!

Paper Towels - "Blot out your troubles; absorb the Christmas Spirit!

Measuring Cup or Glass Measure - "Wishing you Joy Beyond Measure!

Bananas - If we could choose our friends, and we searched the whole world through, we'd go bananas trying to find a better bunch than you!!

 Any Star ornament - Remember the reason for the season

***BIG SMILE***

May the Joy of Christmas Fill your heart – today and everyday !

MA

Christmas is not in tinsel and lights and outward show.

The secret lies in an inner glow.

It's lighting a fire inside the heart.

 Good will and joy a vital part.

It's higher thought and a greater plan.

It's glorious

dream in the soul of man

Geez, 12 degrees is bitter!  We're sitting at 25 right now.  It's a nice feeling to have your Christmas cards in the mail, isn't it?  I got half ours out yesterday and the other half going out today.

Hope you keep warm and toasty up there.  It's chilly and less than freezing point tonight...I think we were at 19 this morning.
