CHAPTER 3, PAGE 17

There are many, many legends

About Saint Patrick's Day,

About the Shamrock and the Blarney

And the leprechauns at play;

And that most delightful story

That God blessed the Emerald Isle

With the beauty of His goodness

And the sunshine of His smile;

And how a dear, beloved Saint

Taught the Irish about God

Just by showing them a Shamrock

That was grown on Erin's sod.

He told them of the Trinity,

The living Three In One;

The Holy Ghost ... the Father,

And His beloved Son.

And all these lovely legends

Of the well-known Irish race,

Have given every Irishman

A very special place,

 Not only just in history

 But in everybody's heart,

For of this old earth's laughter,

The dearest, finest part

Is made of "smiling Irish eyes"

And mirth-filled Irish jokes;

And what a dull world this would be

Without God's Irish folks.

GOOD ‘TOP OF THE MORNIN’ TO YOU ALL

True to our part of the country, St. Patrick’s Day has brought another snow storm to our area. Not a bad one, but enough just to let us know winter isn’t over yet. Only 3 days now til Spring and I’m ready for it.

Today is my usual day with Dad. I hope it won’t be much longer and he’ll be able to be on his own more. He’s getting around pretty good and uses his cane for extra support . He can get up out of his chair with out any help, so he is stronger. It’s just that at his age healing does take longer I guess. We’re still waiting to hear what the latest tests he had show.

Hope you all have a grand St. Patrick’s Day!

May you always have...

A sunbeam to warm you,

Good luck to charm you,

And a sheltering angel

So nothing can harm you,

Laughter to cheer you,

Faithful friends near you,

And whenever you pray,

Heaven to hear you.

May your joys

Be deep and many,

May your heart be light and glad,

May you have the best St. Patrick's Day

That you have ever had.

THOUGHT FOR TODAY

Hope is the physician of every misery.

Irish Proverb

May your day be blessed with a few SMILES and lots of SUNSHINE to warm your heart

Top of the Morning to you too!  We had 2 inches of rain yesterday here in Southern Maryland that ended as sleet so this morning was pretty icy.  The robins are out in their full glory this morning scarfing up worms that came to the top of the surface yesterday in the heavy rain.  Have a great day.  Phyllis

Hi there.  Happy St. Patricks.  Those pictures are so good!!!!  I love the one with the boys hugging.  That is one to treasure.  And so cute of the one peering down his glasses.  LOL.
Have a good day and hope your Dad is doing well.

No alerts today.  In the UK we don't do much for St Patrick's day unless your Irish so it tends to go by without much notice.
