BOOK 08, CHAPTER 9, PAGE 28

Autumn is a reminder

that each of us is beautiful

in our uniqueness

How do the geese know

when to fly to the sun?

Who tells them the seasons?

How do we, humans,

know when it is time to move on?

As with the migrant birds,

so surely with us,

there is a voice within,

if only we would listen to it,

that tells us so certainly when

to go forth into the unknown.

Elisabeth Kuebler-Ross

GOOD EVENING EVERYONE!

We were blessed with a beautiful fall weekend. I hope yours was a great one too.

It was a little cloudy at times and a jacket was needed now and then too, but it was delightful just to be back at my camper and enjoy the smell of autumn.

All I had to do was step out of my car and the fragrance of fall was almost overwhelming. We camp in the woods and although there is a still a lot of green on the trees, many are turning color and lots of leaves have already fallen.

Their fall was hastened by the storm we had 2 Sundays ago, I’m sure, but there is no mistaking the fact that Autumn has arrived in full force.

We had a little adventure on Saturday as we went to a festival called the ‘Prairie Peddler’. It was located not far from where we camp so we thought it would be great to take a look. A few thousand others also thought it would be great too. I say thousands but I’m not really sure of the number, it just looked like that many people. I know they travel from miles around to go there.

Then Saturday evening was the Season Campers ‘Thank You’ dinner sponsored by the Campground Owners. It was a delicious meal of Ham, Scalloped Potatoes, green beans, salad and cake for dessert. After being on the go all day at the festival it was nice to come back and have dinner all prepared and we didn’t have to clean up afterward either.

This morning I went off to the little church near by then relaxed a little with coffee and donuts back at the camper. The grand’babes’ and I spent a little time with a fall craft project and then we lunched and packed up our things for the trip home.

After a cloudy start to the day the Sunshine came out in all it’s glory so the trip home was a very scenic and pleasant one for sure. Now it’s that time of the week when I must turn my thoughts around and get prepared for a new work week. It’s back to reality and work again in the morning.

THOUGHT FOR TODAY

Lord, grant me the hindsight

to know where I have been,

the foresight to know where I am going,

and the insight to know when

I have gone too far

Fall wishes for

Simple pleasures

Beautiful memories

Love in your heart

Happy reflections

And much to be thankful for always

Ma
