Please join in this FLY THE FLAG campaign On Monday, September 11th, 2006, an American flag should be displayed outside every home, apartment, office, and store in the United States. Every individual should make it their duty to display an American flag on this fifth anniversary of our country's worst tragedy.

We do this in honor of those who lost their lives on 9/11, their families, friends and loved ones who continue to endure the pain, and those who today are fighting at home and abroad to preserve our cherished freedoms.

In the days, weeks and months following 9/11, our country was bathed in American flags as citizens mourned the incredible losses and stood shoulder-to-shoulder against terrorism. Sadly, those flags have all but disappeared. Our patriotism pulled us through some tough times and it shouldn't take another attack to galvanize us in solidarity.

Our American flag is the fabric of our country and together we can prevail over terrorism of all kinds. Fly an American flag of any size on 9/11.

Honestly, Americans should fly the flag year-round, but if you don't, then at least make it a priority on this day

God Bless You and God Bless America

Good Morning !

This day is a special day in our family too ! DS#1 and his wife will celebrate their 13th wedding anniversary today. And on this day in 1965 I married a truly wonderful man too! We were married for 27 truly blessed years before the good Lord decided he had other plans. So it is a day of mixed Joys and Sorrows here.

I did put together a web page for 9-11-01 and you can view it here— http://hometown.aol.com/marainey1/page13.html

Thought for Today

God has given us life. And God is here to help us return to life when we have suffered.

God has given us a heart, and God is here to help us feel once more.

God has given us a soul, and God is here to help us soar once more.

God has given us courage, and God is here to help us fight once more.

God has given us hope, and God is here to helpus dream once more.

God has given us this moment, and God is here to help us experience it in all its sacred glory.

Unknown.

May your day be blessed with a few SMILES and lots of SUNSHINE to warm your heart !

I cannot fly the American flag my friend, not in reality but I can in my heart as many Brits will today. Happy Anniversary to your son.
