CHAPTER 7, PAGE 8

Family ties are precious things

woven through the years,

of laughter, love and tears.

Family ties are cherished things

forged in childhood days,

by love of parents deep and true,

by tradition, by family ways

Family ties are treasured things

and far though we may roam,

the tender bond with those we love

still pull our hearts toward home.

GOOD MORNING !

Isn’t it the truth. There is just no place like home. I remember when we used to go to my grandparents, my Mom always said we were going home.

They lived on a farm in the hills of West Virginia and a more beautiful spot you’ll never see. The farm was nestled in a valley and the house had a winding creek right behind it. There was a swinging bridge that you had to cross to get to the other side.

I spent lots of summer days sitting on that bridge fishing for these tiny little fish called Sun fish. I have lots of wonderful memories of ‘home’ And the thing that makes these memories so wonderful is the people there.

My grandparents always made you feel loved and very special. I can only hope that some day my grand’babes’ will have memories of ‘home’ too!

THOUGHT FOR TODAY

The course of human history is determined,

not by what happens in the skies,

but by what takes place in our hearts.

 Sir Arthur Keith

May your day be blessed with a few smiles and lots of sunshine to warm your heart!
