CHAPTER 10, PAGE 2

Friends With/Without Faces

And odd little names.

We sit and we type,

And we stare at our screens,

We all have to wonder,

What this possibly means.

With our mouses we roam,

Through the rooms in a maze,

Looking for something or someone,

As we sit in a daze.

We chat with each other,

We type all our woes,

Small groups we do form,

And gang up on our foes.

We wait for somebody,

To type out our name,

We want recognition,

But it's always the same.

We give kisses and hugs,

And sometimes we flirt,

In MIRC we chat deeply,

And reveal why we hurt.

We do form friendships

But why we don't know,

But some of these friendships,

Will flourish and grow.

Why it is on the screen,

We can be so bold,

Telling our secrets,

That have never been told.

Why is it we share,

The thoughts in our mind,

With those we can't see,

As though we were blind.

The answer is simple,

It's as clear as a bell.

We all have our problems,

And need someone to tell.

We can't tell "real" people,

But tell someone we must,

So we turn on the computer,

And to those we can trust.

Even though it is crazy,

The truth still remains,

They are Friends Without Faces,

And odd little names.

The best part was left out,

We have the best without a doubt,

The Family of GOD....

We can send for Prayers,

And know somebody cares... .

 GOOD MORNING !

The weekend is over and once again and I’m sipping the good coffee, waking up a little slowly here this morning. I do think I need to go to bed earlier. A new month, a new week, a new day…we’ll see what they have in store!

TODAY I'M THANKFUL FOR my good health and the ability to work. I pray for those with handicaps or those out of work.

THOUGHT FOR TODAY

It's wond'rous what a hug can do.

A hug can cheer you when you're blue.

A hug can say, "I love you so" or,

"Gee I hate to see you go".

A hug is, "Welcome back again!"

and "Great to see you!" or

"Where've you been?"

A hug can soothe a small child's pain

and bring a rainbow after rain.

The hug! There's just no doubt about it,

we scarcely could survive without it.

No longer do you have to worry,

for a hug is the way to say "I'm sorry."

A hug delights and warms and charms,

it must be why we all have arms.

Hugs are great for Fathers and Mothers

sweet for Sister, swell for Brothers.

Chances are some favorite Aunts

love them more than potted plants.

Kittens crave them. Puppies love them.

Heads of State are not above them.

A hug can break the language barrier

and make the dullest day seem merrier.

No need to fret about the store of 'em.

The more you give the more there are of 'em.

So stretch those arms without delay,

and GIVE SOMEONE A HUG TODAY!

We have rain, can't believe it! Temps in the 70's but then back into the 80's later in the week...
