CHAPTER 10, PAGE 11

EVERY WOMAN SHOULD HAVE...

A set of screwdrivers, a cordless drill, and a black lace bra.

EVERY WOMAN SHOULD HAVE...

One friend who always makes her laugh...and one who lets her cry.

EVERY WOMAN SHOULD HAVE...

A good piece of furniture not previously owned by anyone else in her family.

EVERY WOMAN SHOULD HAVE...

Eight matching plates, wine glasses with stems, and a recipe for a meal that will make her guests feel honored.

EVERY WOMAN SHOULD HAVE...

A feeling of control over her destiny.

EVERY WOMAN SHOULD KNOW...

How to fall in love without losing herself.

EVERY WOMAN SHOULD KNOW...

How to quit a job. How to break up with a lover and confront a friend without ruining the friendhip.

EVERY WOMAN SHOULD KNOW...

When to try harder and when to walk away.

EVERY WOMAN SHOULD KNOW...

That she can't change the length of her calves, the width of her hips, or the nature of her parents.

EVERY WOMAN SHOULD KNOW...

That her childhood may not have been perfect but; it's over.

EVERY WOMAN SHOULD KNOW...

What she would and wouldn't do for love or more.

EVERY WOMAN SHOULD KNOW...

How to live alone even if she doesn't like it.

EVERY WOMAN SHOULD KNOW...

Whom she can trust, whom she can't and why she shouldn't take it personally.

EVERY WOMAN SHOULD KNOW...

Where to go be it to her best friend's kitchen table or a charming inn in the woods when her soul needs soothing.

EVERY WOMAN SHOULD KNOW...

What she can and can't accomplish in a day, a month and a year.

Good Morning !

I got the little list above from an article in one of the daily meditations I read every day. There is a lot of wisdom in it and thought you might enjoy it too ! I’m always looking for pieces of inspiration to pass on …we all need it now and then

We were blessed by another nice day yesterday and today we might see a few showers, but the temps will remain comfortable. However, by tomorrow night we’ll be down in the 30’s , which is colder than I want to be.

With that in mind I shut off the outdoor faucets and dained the water out of the lines and put the garden hose away in the garage. I don’t want to forget to do it and have frozen water lines later on.

Today I’m thankful for my health and pray for those that are sick, or in pain.

THOUGHT FOR TODAY

You can't have everything... where would you put it?

Steven Wright

May your day be blessed by a few SMILES and lots of SUNSHINE to warm your heart !

MA

Thank you for the lovely meditation today.  I have passed it along to my daughter, a military wife, who is once again separated from her husband.  This time it is a three month training course -- she is in Hawaii and he is now in South Carolina.  She is a strong young woman.  Thank you for your journals, I read them every day it is like getting a letter from a dear friend.  May God bless and keep you and yours.  Phyllis

we are supposed to get snow later today... it is turning colder and colder... I still have some plants to cut back and hope it warms up just a bit so I can still get to them.... it usually doesn't get this cold until after Halloween so I hope it warms up a bit yet.... Like you I am not ready :>)   Sandra
