BOOK 08, CHAPTER 6, PAGE 11

Relax

It’ll come together

God has everything

Under Control

Be still, and know that I am God… Psalm 46:10

If dogs were the teachers you would learn stuff like...

When loved ones come home, always run to greet them.

Never pass up the opportunity to go for a joyride.

Allow the experience of fresh air

and the wind in your face to be pure ecstasy.

When it's in your best interest, practice obedience.

Let others know when they've invaded your territory.

Take naps. Stretch before rising.

Run, romp, and play daily.

Thrive on attention and let people touch you.

Avoid biting when a simple growl will do.

On warm days, stop to lie on your back on the grass.

On hot days, drink lots of water and lie under a shady tree.

When you're happy, dance around and wag your entire body.

No matter how often you're scolded,

don't buy into the guilt thing and pout!

Run right back and make friends.

Delight in the simple joy of a long walk.

Eat with gusto and enthusiasm.

Stop when you have had enough.

Be loyal. Never pretend to be something you're not.

If what you want lies buried, dig until you find it.

When someone is having a bad day, be silent,

sit close by, and nuzzle them gently.

GOOD MORNING !

I know many of you have read the little story about dogs before, but it does bear repeating. There is some good advice for us all in those words.

We often tend to complicate our lives by taking things way too seriously. A simple life, like that of a dog, makes a lot more sense in the long run.

I used to get uptight about so many different things that I now realize weren’t worth the bother. We loose so much time in doing unnecessary things like worrying, gossiping, and judging others.

If we can just enjoy what we have and love those around us, celebrating each day as it comes life becomes much more relaxed and beautiful.

I’ve not always been this way and I still have my moments, but I’m learning more and more each day to look at the ‘Bright Side’ and count my blessings.

It’s ‘Over the Hump’ day once again and tomorrow will be the last day of the work week for me so I’m more than half way through already. It’s like I’m a working gal on the week days and a ‘retired’ person on the weekends.

Life is good.

THOUGHT FOR TODAY

Worry diminishes the spirit...and makes problems seem larger than they really are. Give your mind and body a rest. Relax. Fix what you can, then disengage. Studies show that by distracting yourself from a worry for just 10 minutes can break a worry obsession

Why worry?

May your summer months be joyous and fun…

And above all, blessed with love,

Ma
