CHAPTER 5, PAGE 13

DOES PRAYER CHANGE THINGS?

They say that prayer changes things, but does it REALLY change anything?

 Oh yes! It really does!

Does prayer change your present situation or sudden circumstances?

No, not always, but it does change the way you look at those events.

Does prayer change your financial future?

No, not always, but it does change who you look to for meeting your daily needs.

Does prayer change shattered hearts or broken bodies?

No, not always, but it will change your source of strength and comfort.

Does prayer change your wants and desires?

No, not always, but it will change your wants into what God desires!

Does prayer change how you view the world?

No, not always, but it will change whose eyes you see the world through.

Does prayer change your regrets from the past?

No, not always, but it will change your hopes for the future!

Does prayer change the people around you?

No, not always, but it will change you - the problem isn't always in others.

Does prayer change your life in ways you can't explain?

Oh, yes, always!

And it will change you from the inside out!

So does prayer REALLY change ANYTHING?

Yes! It REALLY does change EVERYTHING!

GOOD MORNING !

It has become cold wet and downright chilly here. They say we are in a holding pattern and it will remain like this into next week.

My youngest son and his wife are supposed to be in town today and will be stopping by to see me. They thought we might go to the flea market, but as most of the good stuff is outdoors, I don’t know if we will or not. We'll probably just go out to lunch.

DD and hubby and DS#1 and family are camping this weekend. I hope it at least stops raining.,so they can dress warm and still get out to do some things. They have built decks in front of their campers and are settling in to their new permanent camp sites for the year. I’ll be going to visit them Memorial Day weekend.

DS#3 has been busy painting rooms in his new house and they will be moving on Wednesday this coming week. Just one more month and their new baby will be here too. Busy busy days for them.

DS# 4 and his family have settled into their new house and will be enjoying Mothers Day all together. His move and change of jobs had them a little unsettled for a while. They sent me flowers at work for Mother’s Day

DS#2 has been deployed overseas and his family is looking forward to his return come the end of summer.

DS#5 and his wife have been busy with the end of the school year activities and I’m sure they’re looking forward to summer and are glad my kitchen makeover is behind them.

As it’s Mother’s Day weekend, I thought I’d catch you up on what everyone is doing. No big get together is planned as everyone is busy as you can see. I plan on treating myself to a lazy Sunday!

THOUGHT FOR TODAY

Weekends are a bit like rainbows; they look good from a distance but disappear when you get up close to them.

John Shirley

May your day be blessed with a few smiles and lots of sunshine to warm your heart !

Like your Prayer Changes things article or poem (whatever it is called - my vocabulary is suffering at the moment.

Your family sounds so busy.

Hope you get to go  to the flea market - put on a jacket.  That sounds fun.
