The more you praise and celebrate your life, the more there is in life to celebrate.
Oprah Winfrey
There are many things in life that contribute to the greater good that don’t cost us a single cent to buy, and that take almost no effort at all to share with others. These things are free and easy, yet somehow we neglect them, and we utilize them much, much less than our potential would suggest we could or should.
Encouragement.
It’s so easy to share an encouraging word with someone, and the encouragement could go a long way to giving someone else the added energy, incentive, and motivation to continue with something that’s important in his or her life
Compliments.
These don’t cost us anything at all, either, but some people dish them out so conservatively that you’d think they cost a zillion dollars each.
Love.
Love is great–the more you give out, the more you have. You never can lose it, and it won’t diminish by being shared. Unconditional love is the best, of course, for when we share unconditional love it’s never diminished by our disappointment in the way it’s returned to us–or not returned at all.
Peace.
By simply being. Others pick up on our peace just as a radio picks up radio signals and converts them into sound, and our peaceful presence can contribute immeasurable calmness into stressful situations in which we find ourselves.
Hope.
Hope for the present, hope for the future. Hope for the fulfillment of potential, hope for positive outcomes. Hope for me, and hope for you. Hope for better things and situations. We share hope by being hopeful, and in sharing it we give a very important part of ourselves, all for free, and all very easily.
GOOD EVENING !
I’m going to make an entry while my laptop is working this evening. I took the HP to the BestBuy Computer Geeks after work this evening. It will be 2 or 3 days before they will let me know what’s up. They sure are busy in there. I was there about an hour and so far I know it’s probably something in the computer malfunctioning, but we won’t know what till they check it out.
Today was sure a gloomy old day here. Wet and chilly. The nice thing is it is warm and comfy here at home and I’m so glad to be here. It was a long day.
The good news is I did make it over the hump and now we slide on into the weekend. Saturday is a potluck dinner at the campground. Anyone have any good crock pot recipes for pot lucks??? I could make my good old ‘deviled’ eggs as they are quick and easy to do. I don’t have an oven at the camper so that’s why I’m thinking crockpot.
They will provide the main meat dish. So this will be a side dish to share. The weather man is saying more rain for the weekend. 50% chance…so it could go either way but it will still be cool so I’ll be wearing the sweats it seems. No shorts and tank tops yet.
THOUGHT FOR TODAY
The world is too much with us; late and soon,
Getting and spending, we lay waste our powers:
Little we see in Nature that is ours;
We have given our hearts away, a sordid boon!
The Sea that bares her bosom to the moon;
The winds that will be howling at all hours,
And are up-gathered now like sleeping flowers;
For this, for everything, we are out of tune.
William Wordsworth
Here’s wishing
That each day of yours
Be BRIGHT
And BEAUTIFUL!
