RAINING HERE TODAY !

chapter 3, page 9

Hope

Hope opens doors where despair closes them.

Hope discovers what can be done

instead of grumbling about what cannot.

Hope draws its power from a deep trust in God.

Hope "lights a candle"

instead of "cursing the darkness."

Hope regards problems,

small or large, as opportunities.

Hope cherishes no illusions,

nor does it yield to cynicism.

Hope sets high goals and

is not frustrated by repeated difficulties or setbacks.

Hope pushes ahead when it would be easy to quit.

Hope puts up with modest gains,

realizing that "the longest journey

starts with one step."

Hope looks for the good in people

instead of harping on the worst.

Good Morning !

I had a wonderful day yesterday full of blessings and smiles !

My thanks to all for the many birthday wishes!

Today Spring is coming to Northern Ohio in the form of showers and possible thunderstorms! Just yesterday I saw a few snowflakes! It's supposed to be warmer, but wet !

Today is the last day of work for me this week. I’m off work Friday and Monday. On Monday, my dad has an outpatient surgery and my sister will take him and I’ll be staying with my Mom.

Neither day is a vacation day. Thankfully my boss is generous in giving me time off.

***BIG SMILE***

On my list for Lent--

Give up negativism——be positive

I’ve learned over the years that if I don’t think about the negative side of things, I feel a lot happier. I don’t believe God gave us problems so that we could just gripe and complain about them.

I really feel that he gave us problems so that we would depend on Him more…Isn’t it the truth? When things get down, don’t we pray more??? So I do pray more and depend wholly (completely and entirely) on Him to take care of what I never could.

THOUGHT FOR TODAY

Spring always comes with new life and birth

Followed by summer to warm the soft earth—

And what a comfort to know there are reasons

That souls, like nature, must have their seasons

Helen Steiner Rice

May your day be blessed with a few smiles and a little sunshine to warm your heart !

so nice and considerate of your boss to give you the time off and not deduct it from a vacation bank of days. Hoping the surgery goes well
