Another wonderful day on the Way!

When I got up this morning the day was bright and sunny

Yet not matter how I tried I felt a little funny

 Then I realized I was a draggin

I was definitely a- laggin

Maybe a good cup of coffee will help and soon

I'll be a-jaggin (off to work that is)

(poem above slightly adapted by MA)

 * Big Smile *   :< )

Good Morning

I hope you all are ready to start the day SMILIING

It seems to help get me going.  After working for as many years as I have you'd think I'd be used to that alarm clock going off and be ready to go in no time.  Not me... I savor every sip of coffee, read my morning devotions, read my e-mails, and check my favorite sites on the net.  Then I get ready !   Of course, I have to get up a half hour earlier to do that, but it's worth it !!!

*Big Beautiful Smile *    : < ))))

And Lots of Hugs Too   (((  hug  )))

Finally got some rain!!!

I'm waiting for the week end
This week has been so long
Is it really only Wednesday?
This calendar must be wrong!
My back feels like it's Friday
My feet are killing me
This week's gone on forever
I'm so tired I cannot see
  I'm dreaming that this Saturday
A big nap I shall take
No work I'll do of any kind
The bed I will not make

No time clock will I have to punch
No shoes that feel too tight
I'll just relax and lie around
And my  boss can fly a kite!
 Unknown

( It's a good thing my boss doesn't read my journal !  ha ha )

May you have all good things today

 Good food,  good laughs

Good feelings and lots of blessings

The goodness of caring

The goodness of sharing

We got some rain overnight and we badly needed it I'm having my 1st cup of good coffee and slowly waking up this morning!

A good day starts out for me

by remembering all of you!

:< )     and you can quote me on that !

Good Morning ! Blessings for a wonderful Day

Another hot day !

   'Desire to aspire to inspire'

 Brian Cavanaugh

This little saying certainly rhymes well but at its very heart is an important message.  Every action we do can either inspire or uninspire. It might need a little effort or a kick start to happen but not to go for it can leave the moment lost forever.

I borrowed the quote above from a website I visit and enjoy

http://www.todayismygifttoyou.ie/

I hope you all enjoy the little quotes and poems I post each day.  I enjoy collecting and sharing them .  The internet has a lot to offer and I've found some very special sites out there in cyber space.

If you're in this heatwave that we're having, try to drink lots of liquids and stay cool.  It's easy to dehydrate in this weather.

Happiness is the Sunshine of the Soul

May a Smile light your spirit

May it Make you Heart Glow !

Happiness Peace and Love to You,

Back to work again !

I have a little recipe that
isn't hard to make.
But you must always start
as soon as you awake.
Take a great big mixing bowl
and fill it with a smile
Mix half a cup of sunshine with
good deeds to last a while.
Add a pinch of work and play,
a pinch of thoughtfulness and care.
But don't bake it in the oven,
just spread it around everywhere.

Author known only to God

        Good Morning !

It is Monday again !  This week should be a little easier than last week.  I don't think I'll have to work over like I did last week.  It was a hot weekend here.  The only times I actually got outside was early morning and late evening to water the grass and the flowers.  Very unusual for us to be this warm in June...we usually get this kind of weather in August.

 Tis twilight of the morn
Breaking dawn of new day
Awake refreshed and renewed

A Prayer for Guidance
Sunlight for a Smile
A Hug to set the right Mood

The Warmth of Love
inside your Heart
Hope with Faith to be sure

Count your Blessings
Family and Friends
With these .......
All Things you can Endure

~HAVE A WONDERFUL DAY!~

 May God Bless You !

SUDDENLY SUNDAY

‘Faith is the bird that feels the light

and sings when the dawn is still dark.'

    ~Rabindranath Tagore

Just as a little duckling takes a confident step forward we too can take a confident step forward today.  Even if our lives feel as if they are in darkness, the light is usually just around the corner.

It is more about believing that this dawn is just about to break

Isn't it true, we wake up each new day with hope for whatever may come. Sometimes, my hope is that I get just to get one little job done or that I'll be getting together with friends or family, but I look forward to whatever may come.

If you had a bank that credited $86,400
to your account each morning,
carried over the balance from day to day,
allowed you to keep no cash
in your account at the end of 24 hours,
canceled out whatever part of that amount you failed to use,
what would you do

Try to spend every cent, of course!
Well, everyone does have such a bank,
and its name is TIME.
Every morning it credits you
with 86,400 seconds

The next morning at the same hour
it rules as lost whatever of this
you failed to invest to good purpose.
It carries over no balance
and allows no overdrafts

If you don't use the day's deposit,
the loss is yours.
There is no going back,
no drawing against tomorrow.

How do you spend your daily surplus

Best wishes for an Enormous Return
on your investment
Today

Look for the blessings in simple things !

May your heart be filled with joy,
Each dawn of another day
May you feel happiness within
Whether at work or play

When you feel downhearted,
Don't let it turn to despair,
Find a silent moment,
You will find God there

Good Morning !  May God bless your day !

HOUSE BLESSING DAY !

You are free to choose, but the choices you make today will
determine what you will have, be, and do in the tomorrows of
your life.

Proven ways to get along better with everyone :

       1. Before you say anything to anyone, ask yourself 3 things:

a. Is it true?
b. Is it kind?
c. Is it necessary?

2. Make promises sparingly and keep them faithfully.

3. Never miss the opportunity to compliment or say something encouraging to someone.

4. Refuse to talk negatively about others; don't gossip and don't listen to gossip.

5. Have a forgiving view of people. Believe that most people are doing the best they can.

6. Keep an open mind; discuss, but don't argue. (It is possible to disagree without being disagreeable.)

7. Forget about counting to 10. Count to 1,000 before doing or saying anything that could make matters worse.

8. Let your virtues speak for themselves.

9. If someone criticizes you, see if there is any TRUTH to what he is saying; if so, make changes. If there is no truth to the criticism, ignore it and live so that no one will believe the negative remark.

10. Cultivate your sense of humor; laughter is the shortest distance between two people.

11. Do not seek so much to be consoled, as to console; do not seek so much to be understood, as to understand; do not seek so much to be loved as to love.

Don't cry because it's over; smile because it happened

Dedicated to all moms and dads facing the "Empty Nest"

When my kids call and ask 'What are you doing' the answer is usually - 'I'm  on the computer.'  My down time is never wasted.  After I make several trips up and down the stairs with whatever chore is at hand, I plop down in my comfy chair and surf the net, read my e-mails and write in my journals.

I should be in tip top shape with all the stairs in my house, but I 'm not - I probably take too many breaks.

The hot weather is back again - keep cool all and don't

forget to drink plenty of liquids.

It's FRIDAY !

Each day you wake up is another day that

you have been given to do with as you wish.

Enjoy it.  Revel in it.  Use it well.
                                                                                     Stephanie Culp

  ONE OF THESE DAYS

One of these days you'll explode
and shout to all the kids,
Why don't you just grow up
and act your age?

And, they will................

 Or, You guys get outside
and find something to do...
without hurting each other....
AND DON'T SLAM THE DOOR!

And they don't...............

You'll straighten their bedroom
until it's all neat and tidy,
toys displayed on the shelf..
hangers in the closet....
animals caged...
You'll yell
NOW I WANT IT TO STAY THIS WAY!

And it will..........................

You will prepare a perfect dinner
with a salad that hasn't
had all the olives picked out
and a cake with
no finger traces in the icing
and you'll say,
NOW THIS IS A MEAL FOR COMPANY!

And you will eat it alone......

You'll yell
I want complete privacy on the phone!
No screaming,
DO YOU HEAR ME?

And no one will answer..........

  No more plastic tablecloths stained
No more dandelion bouquets,
No more iron-on patches,
No more wet, knotted shoelaces,
muddy boots or
rubber bands for ponytails

Imagine.....a lipstick with a point!
No babysitters for New Years Eve!
Washing clothes only once a week!
No PTA meetings or silly school plays
where your child is a tree,
or a little dutch girl named Mena,
no car pools,
blaring stereos or
forgotten lunch money

No more Christmas presents made
of library paste and toothpicks,
No wet oatmeal kisses,
No more tooth fairy,
No more giggles in the dark,
Scraped knees to kiss
Or sticky fingers to clean

Only a voice asking
WHY DON'T YOU GROW UP?

And the silence echoes:

I did.

I found the poem above while surfing yesterday and I thought how true it was.  This is the way I am now.  They all grew up and I hardly know where the time went to.

Take time to enjoy each moment !

I am soooo glad it's FRIDAY !

  You cannot always have happiness,

but you can always give happiness.

Another beautiful day !

 Things to remember today--

If you want your dreams to come true,
don't oversleep

The smallest good deed is better
than the grandest intention

Of all the things you wear,
your expression is the most important

The best vitamin for  making friends
....B1

The 10 commandments are
not multiple choice

The happiness of your life depends  on
the quality of your thoughts

 Minds are like parachutes...
they function only when open

Ideas won't work unless YOU do

 One thing you can't recycle
is wasted time

One who lacks the courage to start
has already finished

The heaviest thing to carry
is a grudge

 Don't learn safety rules
by accident

We lie the loudest when
we lie to ourselves

   Jumping to conclusions
can be bad exercise

One thing you can give and still keep
...is your word

   A friend walks in when
everyone else walks out

The pursuit of happiness  is the chase of a lifetime

From a short story of Tolstoy's, the story of the Emperor's three questions.

What is the best time to do each thing?
Who are the most important people to work with?
What is the most important thing to do at all times?

Remember that there is only one important time and that is now.  The present moment is the only time over which we have dominion.  The most important person is always the person you are with, who is right before you, for who knows if you will have dealings with any other person in the future?  The most important pursuit is making the person standing at your side happy, for that alone is the pursuit of life.

May God bless your day with peace, joy and love.

Those of us heading for the sunset realize the value of time. And it's true that the older we get the faster it goes! We have to both make and take time for that which is most important in our life

TAKE TIME

Take time to work -- it is the price of success.
Take time to think -- it is the source of power.
Take time to play -- it is the secret of perpetual youth.
Take time to read -- it is the foundation of wisdom.
Take time to worship -- it is the high way to reverence.
Take time to be friendly -- it is the road to happiness.
Take time to dream -- it is hitching our wagon to a star.
Take time to love and be loved -- it is the privilege of the gods.

So, dear friend, take time today for what is really important! We do not know what tomorrow may bring. And then it's too late.

Remember how short my time is ... Psalm 89:47

So oftentimes it happens that we live
our lives in chains, and we never even
know we have the key.

The Eagles

Life's treasures are people -- together
