SUPER SATURDAY !

CHAPTER 2, PAGE 18

Roles And How We Play Them

Whenever I'm disappointed with my spot in my life, I stop and think about little Jamie Scott. Jamie was trying out for a part in a school play. His mother told me that he'd set his heart on being in it, though she feared he would not be chosen.

On the day the parts were awarded, I went with her to collect him after school. Jamie rushed up to her, eyes shining with pride and excitement. "Guess what Mum," he shouted, and then said those words that will remain a lesson to me:

I've been chosen to clap and cheer

GOOD MORNING !

I’m clapping and cheering for the Weekend. I know it will go by fast, but I’ve got good intentions of getting a lot accomplished. It’s house blessing day today and also the day we go visit my folks.

***BIG SMILE***

Tomorrow is Church, followed by shopping with DD. Maybe we’ll find our March purse. Usually I get to take a vacation day on President’s Day and we go to our Outlet Mall to see what kind of good sales there are.

This year I couldn’t take a vacation day, so we’re going Sunday.

I hope your Saturday is blessed with a few smiles and a little sunshine to warm your heart !

TODAY’S THOUGHT

It’s better to make the world smile at what you say than laugh at what you do

VERY WINDY FRIDAY MORNING

CHAPTER 2, PAGE 17

Maybe we should develop a Crayola bomb as our next secret weapon . A happiness weapon. A beauty bomb.

And every time a crisis developed, we would launch one. It would explode high in the air - explode softly – and send thousands, millions, of little parachutes into the air. Floating down to earth - boxes of Crayolas .

And we wouldn't go cheap, either - not little boxes of eight. Boxes of sixty-four, with the sharpener built right in. With silver and gold and copper, magenta and peach and lime, amber and umber and all the rest.

And people would smile and get a little funny look on their faces and cover the world with their imagination.

Robert Fulghum

Good morning !

So often what is needed is more cheerfulness in the world! People go around grumbling and complaining and find very little to smile about . I can get depressed just watching the news some days… so I don’t listen to it very often.

The weather channel , which I do watch, says we are in for high winds and a big drop in temps. It will go from 57 degress yesterday down to 24 by this morning and we’ll have some lake effect along with all that too ! BRRRCHILL.

Well it is FRIDAY and am thankful and will give everyone a ***BIG SMILE*** today !

I hope you are blessed with a few smiles and a little sunshine to warm your heart today

 MA

THOUGHT FOR TODAY   You are not fully dressed until you wear a smile.

P.S. Please say a little prayer for my Mom – she’s not feeling so hot right now !

THANKFULLY THURSDAY

CHAPTER 2, PAGE 16

A little story for you this morning...

A mouse looked through the crack in the wall to see the farmer and his wife open a package. "What food might this contain?" The mouse wondered - he was devastated to discover it was a mousetrap.

Retreating to the farmyard, the mouse proclaimed the warning: "There is a mousetrap in the house! There is a mousetrap in the house!" The chicken clucked and scratched, raised her head and said, "Mr. Mouse, I can tell this is a grave concern to you, but it is of no consequence to me. I cannot be bothered by it."

The mouse turned to the pig and told him, "There is a mousetrap in the house! There is a mousetrap in the house!" The pig sympathized, but said, "I am so very sorry, Mr. Mouse, but there is nothing I can do about it but pray. Be assured you are in my prayers."

The mouse turned to the cow and said "There is a mousetrap in the house! There is a mousetrap in the house!" The cow said, "Wow, Mr. Mouse. I'm sorry for you, but it's no skin off my nose."

So, the mouse returned to the house, head down and dejected, to face the farmer's mousetrap alone. That very night a sound was heard throughout the house -- like the sound of a mousetrap catching its prey.

The farmer's wife rushed to see what was caught. In the darkness, she did not see it was a venomous snake whose tail the trap had caught. The snake bit the farmer's wife.

The farmer rushed her to the hospital, and she returned home with a fever. Everyone knows you treat a fever with fresh chicken soup, so the farmer took his hatchet to the farmyard for the soup's main ingredient. But his wife's sickness continued, so friends and neighbors came to sit with her around the clock.

To feed them, the farmer butchered the pig. The farmer's wife did not get well; she died. So many people came for her funeral, the farmer had the cow slaughtered to provide enough meat for all of them.

The mouse looked upon it all from his crack in the wall with great sadness.

So, the next time you hear someone is facing a problem and think it doesn't concern you, remember -- when one of us is threatened, we are all at risk. We are all involved in this journey called life. We must keep an eye out for one another and make an extra effort to encourage one another

REMEMBER: EACH OF US IS A VITAL THREAD IN ANOTHER PERSON'S TAPESTRY; OUR LIVES ARE WOVEN TOGETHER FOR A REASON.

One of the best things to hold onto in this world is a friend!

GOOD MORNING !

It's raining like crazy here this morning.  The snow will probably all be gone by afternoon .  Today  I'll be making my own sunshine for sure !

I hope your day is blessed with a few smiles and a little sunshine to warm your heart !

OVER THE HUMP DAY !

CHAPTER 2, PAGE 15

Realize that true happiness lies within you.

Waste no time and effort searching for peace

and contentment and joy in the world outside.

Remember that there is no happiness

in having or in getting, but only in giving.

Reach out

share,

SMILE,

hug.

Happiness is a perfume you cannot pour on others without getting a few drops on yourself.

Og Mandino

GOOD MORNING !

We had a beautiful Valentines Day yesterday. Sunshine and smiles the whole day through !

One of the comments left on my entry for yesterday, questioned whether I liked my work or not. I guess it’s not that I hate my job, but that I like the things I do outside of work sooooo much better. I am thankful for my job and for the ability to do it. Thank the good Lord I can get up and go everyday !

***BIG SMILE***

The evenings are always too short to accomplish much and the weekends fly by. My life is never dull – that’s for sure !

AOL wouldn't let me add any graphics this morning so we'll try again tomorrow.

Have a great day all ! May you be blessed with a few smiles and some sunshine to warm your heart !

HAPPY VALENTINES DAY !

CHAPTER 2, PAGE 14

VALENTINE PRAYER

I said a Valentine prayer for you

and asked the Lord above to

fill your heart and bless your soul

With the precious gift of love.

I asked Him for sincere love

The kind that's meant to stay

Just like the generous love

You give to those you touch each day.

I prayed for love from family

And from every cherished friend

Then I asked the Lord to give you

His love that knows no end.

GOOD MORNING !

Yesterday started off sunny, but by noon the clouds had come in – it was very windy and cold . I think it is supposed to be warmer today and melt some of the ice and snow.

My DD is making a Valentine dinner for me this evening. What a treat! She is a very good cook.

***BIG SMILE***

May your heart always be joyous and your day filled with love and happiness

And may you always know you have a friend in me

Happy Valentines Day!

MA

Thought for today—

Good friends are like valentine candy; it's what's inside that makes them special !

BACK TO WORK

CHAPTER 2, PAGE 13

Get out of bed forcing a smile.

You may not smile because you are cheerful,

but if you will force yourself to smile

you’ll…be cheerful because you smile

GOOD MORNING !

I hope you enjoy the pictures !  I'm off to work and trying real hard to put that smile on my face this morning !

May your day is blessed with a few smiles and a little sunshine to warm your heart

Suddenly Sunday !

CHAPTER 2, PAGE 12

Sometimes…even the best of us get stressed out

Sometimes…we could all use a break

Sometimes…laughter can solve the problem

Sometimes…a light heart can save the day

Sometimes…a carefree attitude can free the soul

Sometimes…a smile can warm the coldest of hearts

Sometimes…the right words can change the situation

Sometimes…it’s just not enough…

Sometimes…there is nothing you can do

Sometimes…you just have to pray

ALWAYS

God will listen

GOOD MORNING !

God must have been listening to the folks here in northern Ohio as he has blessed us with a Home and Garden Show to go to. That’s where I’m going after church today. It is so grand to walk in the door and smell flowers !

It will take us the better part of the day to walk around and see everything and I know I’ll come home tired out. But it will be lovely. My two dulcimer buddies and I go every year. We wouldn’t miss it as we are so tired of winter and it helps to get rid of the blahs and think about Spring coming !

***BIG SMILE***

The show is at the IX Center out by the Cleveland airport and that’s not very far from here. Here’s a link if you’d like to see where we are going

http://www.homeandflower.com/media-photos.html

We are supposed to have some snow showers today and I hope the roads don’t get slippery. I will have lots of pictures tomorrow for you all to see.

Sometimes just a friendly smile

can warm our hearts and cheer us

So I send to you hugs and smiles

enough to fill your entire day

I hope they bring you happiness

in some small and special way,

MA

THOUGHT FOR TODAY

Be your own florist: wreathe your face in smiles.
