CHAPTER 4, PAGE 7

God, give us eyes to see the beauty of the Spring,

And to behold Your majesty in every living thing -

And may we see in lacy leaves and every budding flower

The Hand that rules the universe with gentleness and power -

And may this Easter grandeur that Spring lavishly imparts

Awaken faded flowers of faith lying dormant in our hearts,

And give us ears to hear, dear God,

the Springtime song of birds

With messages more meaningful than man's often empty words

Telling harried human beings who are lost in dark despair -

'Be like us and do not worry for God has you in His care'.

Helen Steiner Rice

GOOD MORNING !

Today is a special day – Our Dino Boys 6th birthday ! I call him that because above all else he loves Dinosaurs and for being only 6 years old it’s unbelieveable what he already knows about them. As with most of my grandchildren , he is very far away and I’ll be calling him later  to say ‘Happy Birthday’

I’m home from work today to do a much needed house blessing and to get ready for our family Easter dinner tomorrow. I have to make the ‘deviled eggs’ for our Princess and fill some Easter baskets for all!

I have the ham, baked bens and frothy slosh to fix and the babes will be bringing the rest of the dinner. They are all good cooks so we’ll be having lots of yummy food !

Thought for today

Don't Ever

Don't ever be reluctant to show your feelings

when you're happy, give in to it.

When you're sad, live with it.

Don't ever be afraid to try to make things better,

you might be surprised at the results.

Don't ever take the weight of the world on your shoulders.

That's God's job.

Don't ever feel threatened by the future,

just take life one day at a time.

The future belongs to God.

Don't ever feel guilty about the past, what's done is done.

Learn from your mistakes and learn to forgive yourself;

God has.

Don't ever forget that you can achieve

so much more than you could ever imagine

just by letting God take the lead.

Don't ever stop loving.

Don't ever stop believing.

Don't ever stop dreaming your dreams.

Don't ever forget that it is God who makes all things possible,

not us.

CHAPTER 4, PAGE 6

Do you have enough?

I wish you enough sun to keep your attitude bright.

I wish you enough rain to appreciate the sun more.

I wish you enough happiness to keep your spirit alive.

I wish you enough pain so that the smallest joys in life

appear much bigger.

I wish you enough gain to satisfy your wanting.

I wish you enough loss to appreciate all that you possess.

I wish enough "Hello's" to get you through the final "Good-bye."

AUTHOR UNKNOWN

Good Morning!

Every time I talk to any member of my family I try to say ‘I love you’ before I say good bye to them. I don’t remember when I started doing this , but I think that if I never got to see them again they’d know how much I do love and appreciate them.

We leave impressions on the hearts of everyone we meet and a little smile and a kind word mean a lot in today’s busy world. One of my DDIL’s once said that she enjoyed being with people that really liked being together. She was talking about our family. I think that was one of the greatest compliments anyone could ever receive.

Too often it’s too late to say the ‘Hello’s ‘ and at the final ‘Goodbye’ we have regrets. I don’t ever want to be in that position.

So… in case I haven’t said it lately

I do love you all – you are my sunshine !

THOUGHT FOR TODAY:

We all grow better in sunshine and love

May your day be blessed with a few smiles and a little sunshine to warm your heart !

Imagine life as a game in which you are juggling some five balls in the air. You name them . . . work, family, health, friends and spirit, and you're keeping all of these in the air. You will soon understand that work is a rubber ball. If you drop it, it will bounce back.

But the other four balls . . . family, health, friends and spirit . . . are made of glass. If you drop one of these, they will be irrevocably scuffed, marked, nicked, damaged or even shattered. They will never be the same.

Author Unknown

I always like to think that the most important things in my life are God, family and home. Health and friends are irreplaceable too! If you’ve never been really ill, you often take your health for granted. I’ve been wonderfully blessed with good health and a few good friends and I thank our dear Lord for them.

***BIG SMILE***

We did not see any snow yesterday and after today it’s supposed to warm up a little. We’ve had some brisk winds that feel like they came right over the lake…BRRCHILL. In our part of the world Lake Erie affects a lot of our weather.

Thought for today:

Life is more fun when you live it with a smile.

May your day be blessed with a few smiles and a little sunshine to warm your heart !

CHAPTER 4, PAGE 4

Appreciate the members of your family for who they are, even though their outlook or style may be miles different from yours. Rabbits don't fly. Eagles don't swim. Ducks look funny trying to climb. Squirrels don't have feathers. Stop comparing. There's plenty of room in the forest

Chuck Swindoll

GOOD MORNING !

I often am amazed at how different each of my children are. They were all raised with the same values and lived in the same house their childhood years, but somehow they became individuals. I love each of them the same anyhow. I respect their opinions and of course treasure their company. Now that I have grandchildren, I see them reflecting their parents' and growing into their own little persons too!

Snow is in our forecast this morning! Well, it’s only April and we’ve even had an odd flake or two in May. I haven’t got my Spring/Summer clothing out yet. It’s still packed away in the attic. I do wear a lot of layers anyway. So it’s easy to take a sweater off or add one as needed.

Thought for today:

Laughter brings sunshine into the home

May your day be filled with a few smiles and a little sunshine to warm your heart !

CHAPTER 4, PAGE 3

RAINDROPS KEEP FALLIN' ON MY HEAD

Raindrops keep fallin' on my head

And just like the guy whose feet are too big for his bed

Nothin' seems to fit

Those raindrops are fallin' on my head, they keep fallin'

So I just did me some talkin' to the sun

And I said I didn't like the way he got things done

Sleepin' on the job

Those raindrops are fallin' on my head, they keep fallin'

But there's one thing I know

The blues they send to meet me won't defeat me

It won't be long till happiness steps up to greet me

Raindrops keep fallin' on my head

But that doesn't mean my eyes will soon be turnin' red

Cryin's not for me '

Cause I'm never gonna stop the rain by complainin'

Because I'm free

Nothin's worryin' me -

Psalm 72:6

He shall come down like rain upon the mown grass: as showers that water the earth.

GOOD MORNING!

We've got our April Showers here today.  Looks, like we'll be talking to that Sun today !  I'm sipping my good coffee trying to wake up.  As usual, Monday's come too fast!

Back to work !  I'll put on the ***BIG SMILE*** and it'll be a great day!

Thought for today:

You are sunshine on a rainy day !

May your day be blessed with a few smiles and a little sunshine to warm your heart!

CHAPTER 4, PAGE 2

You are ushering in another day,

Untouched and freshly new,

So here I come to ask You, God,

If You'll renew me, too

Helen Steiner Rice

Create in me a pure heart, O God, and renew a steadfast spirit within me.

Psalm 51:10

Renewal originates and rests with God. Every new day we get another chance to start over. After a good nights rest we can wake up refreshed and ready to go again. The blessings of another day awaits us and I for one, look forward with hope for a brighter day.

All of my children are returning to their homes and jobs and life goes on. In an instant, everything is changed, but at the same time everything is the same. My Dad has been doing very well. One of my sisters has been staying with him, just as she stayed to help with my Mom. The days ahead will be difficult but he has a deep faith in God and is comforted in knowing my Mom is in a much better place .

Next Saturday we’ll be having our family celebration of Easter. One week early so that the babes can spend time with the other halves of their families the following week. I think I’ll be traveling downto spend the actual Easter weekend with DS#1 and his family.

It is getting very difficult to get everyone together at the same time and as the years go on, less and less of us will be all together at the same time. But we’ll continue to celebrate with as many of us that can come.

So this week I’ll be trying to give you some good thoughts of Easter and Family and Life.

My wireless Netgear was being difficult this morning and it took more than one download to get it going again.  I was lucky to have some computer pros home to help me get back on line.  DDIL#5 and DS#4 worked at it for me.  I guess I've a lot to learn, but with them as close as a phone call away, I hope to keep on line.  I'm enjoying my internet phone and have had my land line disconnected.

I did get my April purse as a gift for my birthday in March.  It came with Bath and Body Works goodies in it.

May your day be filled with a few smiles and a little sunshine to warm your heart.

CHAPTER 4, PAGE 1

The first of April, some do say,

Is set apart for All Fools' Day.

But why the people call it so,

Nor I, nor they themselves do know.

But on this day are people sent

On purpose for pure merriment.

Poor Robin's Almanac 1790

Good Morning !

Once again I've got a baby monitor in my living room and as I write this journal entry I can hear DS#4 snoring away…The ‘sunshine’ babes surprised me and came in on Thursday.

Watching my children and their children reminds me of how the circle of life keeps going and going.

Thought for today—

The first of April is the day we remember what we are the other 364 days of the year.

By Mark Twain

I think the whole month of March went by in a blur. I find myself doing some funny things -- it will all just take time to heal and let it all sink in .

The support of my family and friends has meant so much the past few weeks. Now we start new month and a new chapter in my book.

Small April sobbed I'm going to cry

Please give me a cloud to wipe my eye

Then April Fool she laughed instead

And smiled a rainbow overhead

May your day Be Blessed a few smiles and a little sunshine to warm your heart.
